Carrier Description:
A Nyia is a carrier traditional to the Hmong culture. It is similar to the Korean podaegi and the Chinese meh dai. It is typically comprised of a relatively narrow but long blanket with straps coming out of the top corners – either running horizontally from the top corners like a podaegi, or diagonally like a meh dai. It can be worn in a back torso carry or more like a meh dai/rucksack carry, as well as being used for front carries.
